How We Aided Dispossessed Tenants After a Rooming House Fire

In the wake of a devastating rooming house fire at the Mary Jane Home Enrichment Center located on 1622 Ridge Ave, we took swift action to assist the displaced tenants. The landlord, who refused to take their calls, was withholding security deposits. Our team stepped in and collaborated with Councilwoman Kendra Brooks office to ensure the tenants received their security deposits. See response from staff Charlene Samuels. Concurrently, we launched an investigation into the fire and previously reported on the building’s hazardous conditions, including roof cave-ins, in a blog article. Our advocacy continues as we push for accountability and better housing standards.


Prayer Walk with Philadelphia Christian Legal Clinics

We were honored to participate in a prayer walk with attorneys and executive members Michael Adams and Daniel Popkave from the Philadelphia Christian Legal Clinics. This event was a powerful demonstration of community solidarity and support, reflecting our shared commitment to justice and compassion.


Assisting William Nickerson with Security Deposit Recovery

We successfully aided William Nickerson in recovering his security deposit from the Church of Overcomer and Pastor Keith Collins, who rented him a room for ten months. Pastor Collins and his wife were recently convicted in a scheme to defraud elderly individuals in a guardianship scam. Our intervention ensured that Mr. Nickerson received the justice he deserved.


Helping Inmate Craig Jarowecki Recover Missing Property

Inmate Craig Jarowecki faced significant challenges after being transferred within the Pennsylvania Department of Corrections, including the loss of his property. After six months of persistent effort, we successfully facilitated the return of his missing items, restoring some sense of normalcy and justice to his situation.


Collaborating with the Philadelphia District Attorney’s Office

We are actively collaborating with the Philadelphia District Attorney’s Office, particularly with paralegal Sara Walentz, to obtain homicide files for our clients. This effort is crucial in reopening cases and seeking justice for those who have been wronged. See Sara Walentz bio attached below


Pro Bono Assistance for Deborah Eliades

Our pro bono services were extended to Deborah Eliades, who was falsely accused of neglecting her pets. We successfully aided Deborah who appealed to the SPCA, securing the return of her beloved rabbit and cats, thus clearing her name from these unfounded allegations.

Working closely with the renowned attorney Rania "The Pitbull" Major, we tackled several challenging cases, including a simple assault case, a custody battle, and a divorce proceeding.
