Hi All!
Here is your monthly dose of the Eagle Call! A lot of what has been happening with our clients is contained below. Please feel free to forward this along to friends.
New blog post Legal-Eagles is excited to share; "How Legal-Eagles won a Supersedeas motion on behalf of Brenda Morrison." This post will talk about how Legal-Eagles assisted an
elderly woman in Philadelphia win a remittal of her appeal bond and monthly rent payment
from her former landlord Vance Renwick. A copy of the court order will be attached to the post. Ms. Morrison was refunded $300.00.
Legal-Eagles has a new office! Having a new office allows our clients to meet in person
and have a private consultation. Our new location is at 1616 Wakeling street Philadelphia
Pa, 19124.
New client Wali Beyah, a former juvenile life sentenced prisoner from Philadelphia, has reached out to Legal-Eagles.
Wali visited the office to seek out help for a former childhood friend who is currently
incarcerated. Wali is a prime example that people who are given a second chance
can and do change their lives for the better. Please visit the blog and read about Wali's
journey to redemption.
Legal-Eagles is partnering with Attorney Steven C. Feinstein Esq. to obtain "H-Files" (Homicide files) from Philadelphia District attorney Larry Krasner on behalf of our clients.
H-files are not normally part of a defendant's discovery provided at trial. Under Larry Krasner's policy defendant's who have been convicted of murder can petition the court
with the help of an attorney to obtain these files. These files may contain exculpatory
evidence to help a defendant gain a new trial.
Last week, Legal-Eagles successfully obtained a prison transfer for a Virginia client
Curtis J. Sparks. Mr. Sparks was housed at River North Correctional Center, a maximum security prison that houses several gangs in Virginia.
Mr. Sparks was threatened and his fiancee was extorted for over $2,000 dollars by gang members inside River North Correctional Center.
Legal-Eagles conducted a background investigation into several gang members which revealed cash app tags linking individuals who conspired to extort Mr. Sparks. Mr. Sparks has been transferred to a new institution far away from his victimizers. Family members are now proceeding with charges against several individuals for return of their funds.
Police Transparency Project Workshop. Legal-Eagles recently attended a workshop with
the daughter of Attorney Teri J. Himebaugh-Esq.
Legal-Eagles was able to learn how to navigate the Transparency Projects website and database.
As a result, Legal-Eagles was able to assist a client in his Federal Habeas Corpus 2254
proceedings. Legal=Eagles obtained evidence and files, internal affairs reports, and misconduct reports on his detective in Omar Jenkins.
Preliminary hearing of client Zymere McDuffie, PP#1201088 results in charges being dismissed.
Legal-Eagles assisted Mr. McDuffie in obtaining new counsel, Parkinson, Tarpey, Lloyd
after his court appointed counsel withdrew from representation. Mr. McDuffie's gun charges
were dismissed and he was released on nominal bail for his remaining charge of small possession of marijuana.
