After getting slapped with a $10,000 judgement, Landlord Vance Renwick hired attorney David Rubin to file a motion for reconsideration and hearing before Judge Joshua Roberts in Philadelphia. A zoom meeting was held and 74 yr old Renwick was seated next to his attorney. Legal-Eagles attended on behalf of Brenda Morrison and her daughter Sherry Morrison. Attorney Rubin argued that his client , who rents out 34 rooms in the hotel, and has been assessed at a value of $600,000, should not have to pay the judgement because he is a hotel keeper and does not fall under Philadelphia s ordinance against illegal lockouts. Judge Roberts said he would take all the sides arguments per his review. Legal-Eagles had moved for contempt against Renwick for failing to replace the door he tore off the hinges and turn back on the vital utilities. The weather has significantly dropped to below 20 degrees the past week, and the plaintiff is trying to stay warm by bundling up in blankets and sleeping in her bathroom. Legal-Eagles will keep it's audience apprised of further developments in this case. Mr. Renwick testified he has owned the hotel for 45 years.
